What happens when I'm let loose at DragonCon 2015 for 4 days? Intensive study in workshops, interviews, private lessons and the intense urge to go flying off into a creative realm I haven't explored before.
I'm absolutely tickled when I learn something new. To have the opportunity to learn something new from industry greats like Roy Wooley and Thomas Willeford has me cackling like a loon. I'm diving in face first and can't wait to post the results. This is what I'm up to so far:
I created this Airship Pirate's portable backpack wing device from an old clock, umbrella, desk fan, and carbide lamps. It even works when you plug it in! I'm currently working on jazzing it up a bit with embellishments to really punk it out. Up next on the workshop table: weapons, secret devices, goggles and time distortion arrays.
I'm covered in glue and employing the super cool techniques that Roy took the time to explain to me to fabricate headpieces and armor for the Airship Pirate. Roy's website is down right now but you can check him at out the link above.
